Georgia Transmission Corporation (GTC) provides bulk power over high-volume electric lines to 39 EMCs, serving as a link between power generation and the EMCs' electric distribution systems. GTC plans, builds, and maintains a transmission system of more than 2,600 miles of power lines and 580 substations.
