From the beginning, Habersham EMC has been committed to improving the lives of rural residents in northeast Georgia. Agriculture was one of the first industries to experience significant growth due to electricity. The partnership between Habersham County Farm Bureau and Habersham EMC is a strong and historic collaboration rooted in a shared commitment to serving the needs of farmers and rural communities. Both organizations were founded with a mission to support and uplift these communities, and their longstanding partnership has been a testament to that dedication. For the past 28 years, Habersham EMC has played a pivotal role in planning and facilitating the annual 4th Grade Farm Day, fully supporting the event by hosting a station each year, providing volunteers, and being instrumental in its inception. Beyond this event, the leadership and employees of Habersham EMC actively engage in other agriculture-related initiatives, including Farm City Week, the AG Foundation Book Program, AG Week activities, and providing vital support to local FFA and 4-H programs. This enduring collaboration exemplifies the shared vision of both organizations to promote agricultural education and support the future of farming and rural communities.
