Effective January 1, 2006 upon inspection by HEMC Representative*
Dual fuel systems and gas furnaces are not eligible for rebates.
New Homes
Heat pump - $150 rebate per unit
Total home envelope - $200 rebate and EC rate
(Total home envelope means total electric with no gas allowed, i.e. duel fuel system, gas furnace, gas cooktop, etc.)
Existing Homes
Heat pump - $200 rebate per unit (Changing from gas or replacing existing electric with a new electric heat pump. A dual fuel system is not eligible.)
Gas cooktop to electric - $50 rebate per unit
Total TE Home envelope - EC rate
* 5% low interest loan available for installation of heat pump, windows, doors and insulation.
New Manufactured Homes
Total TE Home envelope - $200 rebate and EC rate
Smart Change Program
Change your existing gas water heater to an electric water heater and
receive up to $225.00 towards the purchase and $100 for installation.
*All program eligibility is based upon certification by the Habersham EMC Energy Technician.
