Corporate Memberships and Involvement

Habersham EMC works hard each day to see that each member receives low-cost reliable power. HEMC also feels that it is very important to give back to the community it serves.

Habersham EMC and its employees support:

FFA Wiring Contest - HEMC sponsors a yearly wiring contest for high school Future Farmers of America (FFA) members in sub-district, district and state contests.

United Way - HEMC employees donate approximately $15,000 each year to this worthwhile program that assists several needy programs in the area.

American Red Cross - HEMC sponsors a blood drive at the Clarkesville office twice each year with several dedicated employees giving each time.

Free Power Town Safety Demonstrations - HEMC staff present safety demonstrations to schools or organizations. These demonstrations may be done inside a classroom or outside with our high-voltage safety trailer demonstrations.

Chamber of Commerce - HEMC is a member of the Habersham, Hall, Lumpkin, Rabun and White County Chamber of Commerce organizations.

School Career Days - HEMC actively participates in special career days held at area schools.

Home Builders Association - HEMC is a member of the Habersham/White and Rabun County Home Builders Associations.
