Participate in Annual Meeting Process Online

Beginning this year, if you are a Habersham EMC member and cannot attend the Annual Meeting on June 17, you can participate by enrolling online. And you'll receive a $5 registration credit on your power bill for doing so. Your name will also be entered into a drawing along with other members who choose to enroll online for a $250 cash prize.

Many times HEMC hears from members who are unable to attend the annual meeting due to conflicting schedules. "It is the goal of the cooperative to provide an avenue for participation in the Annual Meeting process for these members, too," explains Todd Pealock, HEMC President/CEO.

The online enrollment period: May 1 through May 31.

Simply click on the "Annual Meeting Registration" link below to access the secured site.

• When the page appears, fill in the required information as shown on your HEMC power bill that includes the membership name; your account number, your phone number, plus the last four digits of your Social Security number and a valid e-mail address. After making sure all the information is correct, click the "Submit" button.
• You will be asked to verify that your information is correct. If so, click "Yes".
• Within 10 minutes you should receive a confirmation e-mail from Habersham EMC. You must open this e-mail and click the included link in order to be registered. If you do not receive an e-mail, please call the HEMC office for assistance.
• One vote per membership.
• The $5 credit will appear on your next month's power bill. The $250 cash drawing will be held during the Annual Meeting and the winner will be notified by e-mail. A check will be mailed to the address as it appears on the bill.
• Online participants will be e-mailed an annual report and, if there is a contested election for one of the three director positions open this year, an official ballot will be mailed out through the post office.

IMPORTANT: If you plan on attending the Annual Meeting, please do not register online. You cannot register online and then register again at the Annual Meeting. Online participants will not be eligible for gifts or prizes at the Annual Meeting.
